          Biography of James Rubin

          James Philip 'Jamie' Rubin (born 1960) is a former diplomat and journalist.

          He is currently an adjunct professor at the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University and an informal advisor on international relations to US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and President Barack Obama.

          Rubin worked at the State Department during Bill Clinton's presidency and later became a television journalist and commentator on Sky News.

          Education and Early Career

          Rubin graduated from Columbia University with a bachelor's degree in political science in 1982, and in 1984, he obtained a master's degree in international relations.
